This picture shows a store which is clearly in bad condition. Clearly, it appears to be a sunny day which could lead to high temperatures. The location of the store looks like it is in a rural desert of some kind, yet there still are people in the photograph. This could go to show how desperate some people were during the Great Depression. The peoples’ clothing look a little worn out and covered in filth. The people also look as if they’re as worn out as they’re clothes. Also, there is barely any vegetation noticeable in this photograph. There is only one tree behind the store. The tone of this picture looks negative. The conditions of the store, environment, and the people all look negative.

. In this photograph, there are a couple houses surrounding the background with drying-up corn next to the houses. First of all, the houses look like they’re in poor condition. There is no color on them or even the wood covering the outer-part of the houses. The corn in the fields look as bad as the houses. The fields the corn was growing in are dried up and are killing the vegetation. The sun must beat down on this location very often every day. All the work that farmers had to go through just to stay alive was all for nothing. This picture depicts the Great Depression mostly due to the location. If the owners of those house had more money, they would be able to move to a more improved living environment.
